Breakfast lovers will be drawn to the irresistible aroma of freshly baked Cinnamon Rolls, their gooey sweetness balanced beautifully by a cup of meticulously brewed coffee that customers have praised for its “supreme love.” The menu is a celebration of familiar favorites and local flair—imagine savoring the robust, hearty Biscuits & Gravy, or delighting in a plate of California Huevos Rancheros topped with fresh avocado and vibrant micro greens that awaken your palate.
The Eggs Benedict selection deserves special mention, offering a spectrum of flavors from the traditional ham with its delicate green onion garnish to imaginative styles like the Florentine, rich with spinach, artichokes, and tangy feta, or the Porto, layered with portobello mushrooms drizzled in balsamic reduction and creamy goat cheese. These dishes aren’t just food; they’re little masterpieces that show Winona’s skill in balancing textures and flavors.
For a satisfying lunch, the Winona’s French Dip stands out—a succulent roast beef sandwich with melty Swiss cheese, cream cheese, and a touch of green chilies, served alongside savory au jus. Or try the fiery yet balanced Chicken and Jalapeño Apricot sandwich, which pairs tender grilled chicken with sweet apricot preserves and mozzarella on a buttery brioche. Each bite is a perfect dance between smoky, sweet, and savory notes.
Winona's doesn’t shy away from unique specials either. The Blackberry Pear Pancakes topped with honey butter and whipped cream are an enchanting treat that subtly elevates traditional pancakes into something truly memorable. Their Sweet Potato Fries add that unexpected sweet and crispy sidekick to any meal, tempting even the most disciplined diners.

This place is great! The environment was very inviting and the good was incredible! The service was super friendly! Everything was great! The coffee was made with supreme love!
Sets a high bar for what a standard meal should be. They don't screw it up, it's not pretentious or obnoxious, just great quality and quantity, and the service is excellent-genuine and friendly, is the overall vibe. Truly a lively, happy place to eat, have a unrushed, good time, leave full and not broke. I can see why their reputation is so well established. I got a BLT and fresh squeezed OJ, my friend got an Acorn Squash soup and a tofu veggie wrap and iced tea. We loved our meals. BLT was on a delicious, sliced sourdough bread- toasted just right, with perfectly cooked bacon (an actually hard thing to find in my experience).. acorn squash soup was awesome. If I wasn't so full from my meal I'd have gotten that too.
What a wonderful place to have early morning breakfast. We found this as we strolled the streets on our first day here. We got a warm greeting and lucky to get a booth by the window. We decided to eat inside as weather was a little chill in the outdoor seating. Katie, our server was friendly, professional and great for food suggestions. Always a smile and key in making us comfortable. Food came out quick. I had the Carnitas Hash without the green chile. Health reasons. The dish came with hash potatoes, perfectly cooked/seasoned carnitas, two eggs staring at me and two tortillas. VERY YUM RATED! My wife had Sweet Potato Hash. It included kale, onion, seasoning with two eggs and rustic sour dough. Fabulous, is what she said. The atmosphere and decor is nice. Cozy inside. Thank you Katie! You were awesome!! Make sure you come for Breakfast. A must while in Steamboat! Jrangel DBQ, Iowa.
Delicious breakfast & lunch spot! Highly recommend getting a cinnamon roll for the table! Their menu has something for everyone and the service is very friendly!
Another breakfast jem in Steamboat. My shrimp and grits were so tasty. The pork carnitas were also a hit. Big portions. Proper diner. Small space. Get there early. Only hiccup was that the chair i was sitting on had a nail sticking up and ripped my pants. Service was basic but fast.
Had this place on our family itinerary when in town and we almost skipped it but so happy we stopped. I had the carnitas hash and it was perfection. The potatoes were hot and crisp along with the carnitas they also had a perfect crisp to them and were not dry. The tortillas were soft but toasted. I also had the green chili cheese grits were a dragon I'll be chasing, they were soo good. Even my husband who hates grits said they were great. The pancakes were super fluffy and cooked perfectly. The chicken and waffles was also delicious; crisp fluffy waffle and crispy juicy chicken. We got a cinnamon roll to go and had it after a long hike which was a nice treat. They are huge and liked the sunflower seeds mixed in. Totally worth the stop if you are in town!
Seriously Though!! This place was dang!! And fire!! I like to try new things (occasionally) so with my bacon Benny, I asked for the green chili cheese grits. Zero regrets. As I’m reviewing, I’m craving just a few more bites to give me that little kick of spice with some kind of flavors that sets my mouth watering! Top that grit with the hollandaise sauce and it’s a perfect balance of flavors and feels. Dive now into the cinnamon roll that literally melted on my tongue while delectable frosting oozed into every crevasse! All in all, what a great way to begin my Thanksgiving holiday with my family here in beautiful Steamboat Springs.
Outstanding breakfast with great service. I highly recommend you try this wonderful spot soon. Both the pancakes and cinnamon french toast were delicious. I also enjoyed the side of ham and OJ. Thanks again we will be back next time we visit Steamboat.
